From Reading The Future To Sharing A Future Together

It All Began 12 Years Ago On An Old School Desk One Chilly Monday Morning…

“I hear you can read the future”, he said as he pulled a chair across from me – the cards already shuffled and waiting. “Can you read mine?”

And so I did. As I was reading his future, I saw mine in it, too, but I didn’t tell him right away. I patiently waited for the future to unfold naturally, trusting that what I saw in the cards and in the prophetic dreams that would soon follow will come true. Two months later we became a couple and have got each other’s backs ever since.

We’ve journeyed from adolescence to adulthood, went through high school and university together, experiencing some dark years in Berlin that made us question everything we knew about ourselves but not the love we had for each other. After we emerged from those difficult years a bit wiser and filled with renewed hope and lust for creative expression, we got married and moved back home to Sofia where we currently live with our two adopted cats – Kotio and Kitty. They are truly amazing beings that make our hearts expand with gratitude and joy day after day.

At 27, we are at a point in our lives where Rose Sanctuary is the natural progression of our storyline. It is a reflection of the spirit of our relationship which has remained both mysterious and honest, safe and curious, deep and joyful.

We hope to bring that spirit to you, too,
Mira and Danny

Kotio is a 12-year-old orange tabby whom we adopted when we moved back to Danny’s childhood home in Sofia. Kotio spent the majority of his life as a stray and had a tough time, including an incident where he injured his leg and needed immediate care. Danny’s mom took him in and nurtured him back to health. A year later, we moved into the house, and slowly, Kotio began to build the courage to spend more time in our apartment. Initially, he was very cautious, having spent his entire life on the streets. Gradually, however, he learned to trust us, and now he never leaves our side.

He loves sitting on our laps while we read a book and do card readings, and even comes with us outside when we go for a walk near the house. We call him our “puppy cat” because he follows us everywhere, purring with contentment during hour-long petting sessions.

Kitty is our sweet 1-year-old tortie who, in many ways, is the complete opposite of Kotio, except for her gentle heart and her eagerness to give and receive love. She is always darting around the house and the backyard, chasing whatever captures her attention. She rarely stays in one spot long enough to be petted, but when she does, her purring is even louder than Kotio’s.

We found her as a small kitten outside our house, and we immediately fell in love with her. She has become a wonderful sister to Kotio, bringing out his playful side. They enjoy spending time together, and when Kitty finally tires out from her adventures, they often curl up and fall asleep next to each other.
